We’re calling for new publications during the event—all narrative works, regardless of medium. We welcome donations year-round, but the archive primarily accepts local comic publications (including works by other authors and past issues). Non-comic publications are only accepted during the event.
The archive is a privately run initiative operating on an extremely limited budget, currently prioritising the preservation of local comic works. Your support in sustaining local comic culture is greatly appreciated.
- The archive will not digitise or upload publication content in any form without the original author’s consent.
- Archive content is accessible only to members, approved applicants, or educational and research institutions.
- The archive is strictly for non-commercial use.
- The archive reserves the right to use the following without notifying the original author:
- Cover images of archived works may be photographed for use in the archive’s digital catalogue, promotional materials, cultural education and outreach, media interviews, etc.
- The title, author’s name, and textual descriptions of archived works may be referenced or cited in academic research papers.
How to Use the Archive
— Viewing and Academic Research
To access the archive’s content, apply for membership or complete a one-time application form. All applications must state the reason for access and are subject to approval. As the archive is still developing, priority will be given to donors and academic applicants (expected to open in February 2025 at the earliest).
— Donations
If you are a creator, consider donating your new or past publications to the archive.
The archive’s location will remain undisclosed until preparations are complete. Thank you for your understanding.
關於原圈
About Yun Hyun
Yun Hyun is a non-profit registered society in Hong Kong, primarily run by creators, established to organise various promotional activities for original doujinshi. “Yun Hyun” refers to the ecosystem of original creative enthusiasts. It is currently a small circle with many gaps yet to be filled. We hope to complete one small part of this circle, allowing more people to experience the joy of creating and enjoying original works.
Going forward, we will organise original doujinshi fairs and related activities under the name [Yun Hyun], hoping to concentrate resources more effectively and promote original doujinshi culture.
Our initial events were titled “Hong Kong Original Doujinshi Fair” and “Original Doujinshi Exchange Exhibition”, commonly known as Hong Kong Original Only.
Doujinshi creation covers a vast range of themes. We aim to bring together people who love original stories—whether they enjoy creating, enjoy reading, wish to support local creators, or love discovering new things. All can gather at this event centred around the keywords “original” and “non-commercial” to exchange ideas, support one another, and nurture an atmosphere that encourages creativity.
